Synopsis: In this sequel to “Hercules” (1959), the Greek demigod is en route to Thebes with his new bride Iole (Sylvia Koscina) and the future hero Ulysses (Gabriele Antonini). They arrive to find the region on the threshold of a civil war. With the hope of preventing this catastrophe, Hercules (Steve Reeves) is sent on a mission of diplomacy. Along the way, he drinks from a cursed magic fountain that causes amnesia. He soon falls into the hands of Queen Omphale (Sylvia Lopez), a sorceress who seduces men in her pleasure gardens and turns them into stone when she tires of them. While young Ulysses tries to help Hercules regain his memory, the political unrest in Thebes escalates, placing Iole in mortal danger.
