Osiris Entertainment formed in 2008, with over 500 movies, and now outputs 3 new films a month. The international division launched officially in 2010, with over 15 new films. Osiris has a major presence at major film and television markets including, but not limited to, American Film Market (AFM), Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, MIPCOM, and MIP-TV.
1. One of the key differences in international sales at Osiris Entertainment versus other companies is the fact that we do not charge exuberant expenses to our producers, we understand the complexities involved in international sales. For example, most foreign sales reps or distributors charge each of their new films fees that generally are higher than the market themselves - a new film could be charged anywhere from $10,000-$15,000 when it's brought to the marketplace - for example AFM. We believe that this is drastically unfair since one film has already paid for the whole market by charging back the booth/suite/or area at the market to the producer. We would never do this. For example, if we have 15 films going to a given market, and if that market costs $15,000, we simply charge each producer $1,000 back to them as an expense. In short, it's divided straight down the middle.
2. We have caps on our expenses
3. We offer full transparency from accounting, to art, to sales.
4. We are a real distribution company, not a sales rep
